Fall brings the vibrant colors of the foliage and the smell of the grapes ripening which in turns brings the harvesting of the grapes and the making of the new wines. This season also features the Vintage Grand Prix race which attracts numerous vintage cars to run the old road course through the Village of Watkins Glen and the State Park. The Winter showcases many events such as the Wineries Deck the Halls, Wine and Pasta Weekend and The Ice Bar Weekend. The Spring is marked by the smells of warm weather, sprouting of greenery, fishing season and boats returning to the water.
The Finger Lakes was named one of the ten Best Travel Destinations by Wine Enthusiast Magazine in 2015 and also named the Wine Region of the year in 2014. USA Today voted Watkins Glen State Park one of the top three State Parks in the country. Seneca Lake is the largest and deepest of the Finger Lakes and has spectacular views of the hills and vineyards throughout its 38 mile length.
